APPPOA Refutes May 1 Strike Rumors Amid Anticipated Fuel Price Hike

The All Pakistan Petroleum Pumps Owners Association (APPPOA) has categorically dismissed circulating rumors about a nationwide strike scheduled for May 1. These reports suggested that petrol pumps would shut down in protest against the anticipated rise in petroleum prices. However, the association has clarified that such claims are unfounded and have no basis in reality.

In a statement, APPPOA Vice Chairman Nauman Ali Butt emphasized that all petrol stations across Pakistan will continue their operations as usual, ensuring the public has uninterrupted access to fuel. He highlighted that the organization is not involved in any strike action and that the allegations linking APPPOA to a protest are entirely baseless.

Furthermore, Butt reaffirmed the commitment of petrol pump owners to maintain a steady supply of petroleum products nationwide. He urged citizens to disregard any misinformation or rumors that might cause unnecessary concern or panic. The association remains focused on serving the public without disruption, especially during times when fuel price adjustments are expected.

As the country braces for a potential increase in petroleum prices, APPPOA’s assurance aims to provide stability and confidence to consumers. The association’s proactive communication seeks to prevent any misunderstandings that could affect fuel availability or public sentiment during this sensitive period.
