The Motorway Police have introduced a new online system for driving licence applicants, designed to streamline the process and offer greater convenience to citizens. This initiative represents a significant move towards digitizing public services.
Under the new system, applicants can pay their driving licence fees using mobile wallets such as Easypaisa and JazzCash, as well as through various banking applications. This eliminates the need for physical cash transactions and long queues at licensing offices.
Applicants are now able to submit their fees online, saving both time and effort by avoiding in-person payment delays. To facilitate quick and secure transactions, QR code-based payment machines have been installed at the Islamabad Driving Licensing Authority.
In a notable development, the QR code payment option will soon be extended to licensing authorities in Sheikhupura and Quetta, further expanding the reach of this digital payment facility.
Officials highlight that this move will reduce extra costs for applicants and increase transparency in the fee collection process. The Motorway Police view this initiative as part of a broader strategy to encourage digital payments and enhance service delivery nationwide.
