PIA Restarts Hajj Flights from Faisalabad After Four Years

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has recommenced its Hajj flight operations from Faisalabad after a break of four years. This resumption is a significant development for pilgrims in the Faisalabad region, providing them with direct air travel options to Saudi Arabia for the annual Islamic pilgrimage. The restart of these flights is expected to ease travel logistics and reduce the need for pilgrims to travel to other cities for departure.

The suspension of Hajj flights from Faisalabad was due to operational and logistical challenges faced by the airline and regulatory authorities. Meanwhile, the revival of these services aligns with PIA’s broader strategy to enhance connectivity and support religious tourism. This move is also likely to boost local economic activity by increasing passenger traffic through Faisalabad Airport.

Notably, the resumption of Hajj flights from Faisalabad comes at a time when global travel is gradually normalizing post-pandemic. It reflects the airline’s commitment to serving regional communities and facilitating one of the most important religious journeys for Muslims worldwide. The decision is expected to be welcomed by pilgrims and their families, who can now benefit from more convenient and direct travel arrangements for Hajj 2024.
