Ethan Jamieson, a 27-year-old actor recognized for his part in The Hunger Games, is confronting serious legal accusations following an alleged shooting incident in Raleigh, North Carolina. He faces three felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, as outlined in court records.
The incident reportedly occurred on the evening of March 22, when police responded to calls about gunfire shortly before 10 p.m. local time. A victim inside a moving vehicle claimed that an unidentified person riding an electric bike fired a shot at them. Two other passengers were also present in the vehicle during the event.
Investigators later identified Jamieson as the suspect allegedly responsible for discharging a firearm toward the car. Court documents specify that the weapon involved was a 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
Following his arrest, Jamieson was denied bail and is scheduled to attend a disposition hearing on April 30. Notably, this is not his first encounter with law enforcement; he was previously arrested in March 2025 on charges of resisting a public officer.
Jamieson is best known for his minor role as the male tribute from District 4 in the 2012 film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novel, The Hunger Games. The blockbuster series featured stars such as Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. Earlier in his career, Jamieson also appeared in television shows including One Tree Hill and Justified.
The investigation is ongoing as further details continue to emerge.
