In a tragic escalation of violence, a gunfight erupted between two rival factions in Khairpur’s Daraza area, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to five others. The confrontation, which took place in this historically significant shrine town, has shocked the local community and heightened concerns over ongoing conflicts in the region.

Authorities have attributed the violent clash to a longstanding dispute between the groups involved. In response, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khairpur confirmed that substantial police forces have been dispatched to the area to restore order and prevent further bloodshed. This deployment aims to stabilize the situation and reassure residents amid fears of renewed hostilities.

Meanwhile, Sindh’s Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life, which notably included a woman. In a significant development, he has demanded immediate and detailed reports from the Commissioner and the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Sukkur regarding the incident. The chief minister has also instructed law enforcement agencies to take swift action to apprehend those responsible and ensure they face justice in a court of law.

Furthermore, Murad Ali Shah has emphasized the urgent need to enhance security measures in the affected area to maintain law and order. He called on all relevant authorities to prioritize the protection of citizens’ lives and property, underscoring the government’s commitment to curbing violence and fostering peace in Khairpur and its surroundings.
