Iran Army Chief Commands Forces to Brace for Possible Attacks Amid Rising Tensions

Iran has elevated the alert status of its armed forces, instructing commanders to vigilantly monitor potential threats and prepare for any form of assault amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. Army Commander-in-Chief Amir Hatami emphasized the need for operational headquarters to track enemy movements with extreme caution and precision, ensuring readiness to respond to all possible scenarios.

Hatami issued a stern warning that any adversary attempting a ground offensive should anticipate a decisive and forceful counterattack, asserting that no invading troops would be allowed to survive such an operation. This statement underscores Tehran’s increasingly assertive military stance in the region.

The announcement comes amid a backdrop of intensifying regional confrontations involving Iran and its rivals, raising concerns about the potential for a broader conflict. The situation has drawn in multiple regional players and heightened global anxieties over stability in this strategically critical area.

State media released footage showing Hatami meeting with three senior commanders and engaging in a video conference with about a dozen others. Although the video lacked audio and its timing could not be independently confirmed, it highlighted the high level of coordination within Iran’s military leadership. Iranian officials have consistently stressed their commitment to defending national sovereignty and responding firmly to any threats.

These recent directives reinforce Iran’s longstanding policy of maintaining robust defensive preparedness while projecting strength to both domestic and international audiences. The developments occur at a delicate juncture, where military posturing, diplomatic maneuvers, and ongoing hostilities intersect, leaving the future course of the conflict uncertain.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump stated that the conflict involving Iran is “nearing completion” and could conclude within weeks, hinting at a possible de-escalation. However, the concurrent deployment of additional US military forces to the Gulf region has sparked speculation about preparations for potential escalation, including ground operations.

Military experts note that such troop movements often serve dual purposes: deterring adversaries while maintaining operational readiness. As tensions continue, both Tehran and Washington appear to be sending conflicting signals—rhetoric suggests the possibility of escalation, yet some statements indicate efforts to resolve the confrontation.
