Massive Tehran Rally Sees Iranians Raise Pakistani Flags in Solidarity

In a significant demonstration of solidarity, a vast crowd assembled overnight at Valiasar Square in Tehran to express unwavering support for the Islamic Republic of Iran. The attendees fervently acknowledged the Pakistani people for their steadfast backing during challenging times.

Despite threats of bomb attacks, Iranians took to the streets in large numbers, unlike Israeli forces who reportedly remained confined to bunkers. The rally featured a notable presence of women, who vocally condemned United States and Israeli aggression with powerful chants.

Among the most prominent displays were banners supporting Pakistan, bearing the message, “The Iranians will never forget the love of the Pakistani people.” Participants raised both Iranian and Pakistani flags while chanting “Pakistan Shukria,” symbolizing the deep camaraderie between the two nations.

The Pakistani diaspora, including numerous university students and members of the Hawza Ilmia, also organized rallies in support of Iran, pledging their unwavering loyalty to the Islamic Republic. This public show of unity underscores the longstanding diplomatic, cultural, and fraternal bonds linking Islamabad and Tehran.

Pakistan has consistently opposed regional hostilities, providing continuous diplomatic and moral support to Iran amid shifting geopolitical tensions. The rally comes amid escalating conflict following intensified US-Israeli attacks, notably after February 28, when Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, his family, and IRGC commanders were martyred.

In retaliation, Iranian forces have launched near-daily drone and missile strikes targeting Israeli-occupied areas and US military installations throughout the region. This collective spirit of resistance resonates with recent remarks from the newly appointed Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hussain Khamenei.

During his Nawruz address, he lauded Pakistan as a “great country” and emphasized his dedication to strengthening the economy and fostering resilient alliances with neighboring states. He also expressed a personal connection to Pakistan, reflecting the affection his martyred predecessor held for the nation, recalling how the late leader prayed for Pakistan during devastating floods.

“Our affection for Pakistan is well-known,” he affirmed, noting that he openly expresses this sentiment at various forums, reinforcing the enduring friendship between the two countries.
