Aamir Awan, a well-known businessman and showroom owner in Islamabad, was fatally shot after armed men forcibly entered his residence in the Shahzad Town area of the federal capital. The incident occurred late at night when five assailants, armed with Kalashnikov rifles, stormed his farmhouse.
The attackers reportedly injured a security guard before gaining entry through an open window. Once inside, they opened fire on Aamir Awan, hitting him multiple times in the abdomen and leaving him critically wounded. He was rushed to PIMS Hospital in Islamabad for emergency treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries.
Islamabad police have launched an investigation into the attack and are actively working to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. Further updates are expected as the inquiry progresses.
In a related incident, a young office worker named Danish Sagheer was shot dead by a security guard at a money exchange in Islamabad’s I-8 sector. The victim died instantly after the guard, Muhammad Umar, opened fire. The suspect was immediately taken into custody, and the weapon used was confiscated.
Eyewitnesses and video footage circulating on social media show the guard loading a pump-action rifle before shooting the victim. Although the guard initially claimed the shooting was accidental, the evidence suggests it may have been deliberate. Police are thoroughly investigating all aspects of the case and will proceed with legal action based on their findings.
