The Walt Disney Company has officially opened the highly anticipated “World of Frozen” at Disneyland Paris, marking a major milestone in its global expansion strategy. This new immersive area, unveiled on Sunday, invites visitors into the enchanting kingdom of Arendelle, highlighted by a towering ice mountain and Elsa’s majestic palace overlooking a Nordic-inspired village.

Leading the project is Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro, who has played a pivotal role in the company’s parks division for decades. The World of Frozen is part of a broader €2 billion renovation of the resort, which includes a significant overhaul of Walt Disney Studios Park. This park has been reimagined and renamed Disney Adventure World, representing the largest expansion in its 32-year history since opening in 2002.

The launch event drew prominent figures such as Penélope Cruz, Naomi Campbell, and Teyana Taylor, underscoring the international significance of the occasion. D’Amaro praised the creative teams behind the Frozen franchise, particularly director Jennifer Lee, who is currently developing Frozen 3. He described the opening as a “transformational moment” for the company.

Visitors to the new area can explore the charming Arendelle village, embark on the Frozen Ever After boat ride, meet beloved characters like Anna and Elsa, and enjoy live entertainment including the Snow Flower Festival. This expansion reinforces the Parks and Experiences division’s role as a key revenue source for Disney, contributing substantially to its operational income.
