Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan arrived in Islamabad on Saturday for an official visit, responding to an invitation from Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The visit is centered around a quadrilateral meeting scheduled for March 29 and 30, which Dar will chair, focusing on the current regional situation.
During his stay, Fidan is expected to engage in discussions on regional developments and hold a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This visit underscores the strong and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, highlighting their ongoing collaboration on both regional and international matters.
Upon arrival, Fidan was received by Additional Foreign Secretary for Afghanistan and West Asia, Syed Ali Asad Gilani. In a parallel development, Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty also reached Islamabad on an official visit, having accepted an invitation from Senator Ishaq Dar.
Dr. Abdelatty’s visit includes consultations on regional issues and a scheduled meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. His participation in the upcoming quadrilateral meeting further reflects the close relationship and continued cooperation between Pakistan and Egypt on regional and global concerns.
