In a significant development, Iran has consented to permit an additional 20 vessels flying the Pakistani flag to navigate through the Strait of Hormuz. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that two ships will be allowed to cross the strategic waterway each day.

Expressing his satisfaction, Ishaq Dar described this move as a positive and constructive gesture by Iran that merits recognition. He emphasized that this decision signals a hopeful path toward peace and will contribute to enhancing stability in the region. Dar highlighted that such confidence-building measures, alongside dialogue and diplomacy, remain essential for progress.

Meanwhile, Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty arrived in Islamabad on an official visit at the invitation of Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. The Egyptian minister is scheduled to engage in consultations regarding regional developments and is expected to meet with the Prime Minister. This visit underscores the strong and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Egypt, as well as their ongoing cooperation on regional and international matters.
