During the preliminary round of the Miss Grand Thailand 2026 pageant held in Bangkok on March 25, contestant Kamolwan Chanago, aged 18, encountered an unexpected challenge when her veneers became dislodged mid-sentence while delivering her speech. The incident, captured on video, showed her briefly struggling to speak clearly due to the dental mishap.

In a significant display of professionalism, Chanago quickly averted her gaze from the audience to adjust her veneers. She then regained her composure and confidently resumed her presentation, smiling brightly as she continued her walk across the stage. Dressed in a sparkling pink gown complemented by a fur shawl, she finished her segment with grace, adding a twirl and striking poses that earned applause from the audience.

Meanwhile, viewers both online and in the crowd praised her calm and collected response to the situation. Although some considered the moment embarrassing, many admired her ability to handle the pressure seamlessly. A spokesperson for Miss Grand International described the event as a “minor and unexpected incident,” commending her professionalism and stage presence. They noted that the competition proceeded smoothly without disruption and expressed pride in her confidence throughout the event.

The Miss Grand Thailand pageant features 77 contestants vying for the title of Miss Grand Thailand 2026. The winner will represent Thailand at the Miss Grand International 2026 pageant scheduled for October in India. The grand finale of Miss Grand Thailand is set for March 28 at the MGI Hall in Bangkok.
