NADRA Enhances Identity Verification and Expands Services Nationwide

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has implemented a series of significant upgrades designed to strengthen Pakistan’s identity verification framework and enhance the delivery of public services. These improvements focus on modernizing biometric verification technology to increase the accuracy and security of citizen records across the country.

In a significant development, NADRA is expanding its network of registration centers, particularly targeting remote and underserved regions. This expansion aims to alleviate long waiting times and provide easier access to essential services for citizens nationwide. The authority is also advancing efforts to integrate its database with other government departments, fostering better coordination and transparency in administrative processes.

Meanwhile, NADRA’s digital transformation strategy is expected to play a crucial role in reinforcing governance and ensuring more efficient public service delivery. The organization has reiterated its commitment to leveraging modern technology to offer secure, reliable, and user-friendly services to all Pakistanis.

Earlier, NADRA extended the availability of selected services through an additional 1,000 e-Sahulat franchises, bringing the total number of such centers to approximately 3,000 across Pakistan. These centers now provide services including the issuance of B-Forms for children under 10 years, renewal of national identity cards, issuance of duplicate cards in case of loss, and cancellation of identity cards for deceased family members.

Notably, these expanded services are accessible in multiple districts, including Islamabad, as well as major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Hyderabad, Peshawar, and Quetta. They also cover a broad range of districts across Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. This initiative is designed to enhance public access to vital registration services while reducing the workload on NADRA offices by bringing services closer to the people.
