In a significant development in Karachi, police apprehended a man attempting to break into an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) using a stone. The incident occurred in the Gulbahar area, where law enforcement quickly intervened to prevent a major theft.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Central, Dr. Imran, explained that the suspect had entered a private bank branch and tried to damage the ATM. Despite using only a stone, he managed to inflict considerable harm to the machine’s screen, cash drawers, and other critical components. However, police arrived promptly and arrested him before he could access the cash compartment.
Following the arrest, a formal case was registered based on a complaint filed by the bank staff. During preliminary questioning, authorities uncovered that the suspect had a history of criminal activity, including multiple previous arrests and imprisonment related to motorcycle thefts.
