Kanye West Surprises Fans with Early Release of ‘Bully’ Album

Kanye West surprised fans by releasing his highly anticipated album Bully through a late-night livestream on YouTube shortly after midnight on March 26, ahead of its official launch scheduled for March 27. This unexpected premiere ended months of speculation and delays surrounding the project.

Bully is West’s 12th studio album and his first solo effort since 2022’s Donda 2. The album is being distributed via the independent label Gamma. Notably, it includes collaborations with Travis Scott and Nine Vicious, with tracks like Preacher Man and Beauty and the Beast already familiar to fans from earlier previews.

In the days leading up to the release, West shared a handwritten tracklist on social media, revealing a comprehensive lineup featuring songs such as Sisters and Brothers, All the Love, King, and Mission Control. Several of these tracks had previously circulated in unfinished or alternate versions, heightening anticipation for the final product.

In a significant development, West addressed rumors about the use of artificial intelligence on the album, firmly denying that Bully contains any AI-generated vocals despite earlier speculation.

The album’s rollout has been complex and unpredictable. West initially teased the project in 2024 following the release of Vultures 2, his collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign. He continued to build excitement through snippets, live performances, and a short film titled Bully V1, which featured his son Saint.

The release comes amid ongoing controversies surrounding West, including legal disputes and backlash over his previous public statements. Nevertheless, the early streaming of Bully has quickly reignited public interest, allowing fans to finally experience the full album after a prolonged and erratic promotional period.
