Israel Conducts Airstrikes Near Pakistan Embassy in Tehran Amid Ongoing Conflict

In a significant development on Thursday night, Israeli forces launched airstrikes targeting locations surrounding the Pakistan embassy and the residence of Pakistan’s ambassador in Tehran, the capital of Iran. This incident occurred amid a prolonged period of aerial bombardment that has now persisted for 27 consecutive days, severely impacting the city.

The explosions were reported around 8:00 PM local time, shaking the vicinity of the diplomatic mission and the ambassador’s residence. Despite the intensity of the strikes, neither the embassy nor the ambassador’s home sustained any damage. Furthermore, all diplomatic personnel stationed at the Pakistan embassy, including Ambassador Mudassir Tipu and approximately 20 staff members, remained unharmed and continued their duties without interruption.

Notably, the timing of these airstrikes coincides with ongoing diplomatic efforts by Islamabad, along with Türkiye and Egypt, to mediate a ceasefire between the United States and Iran. These shuttle diplomacy initiatives aim to de-escalate tensions and foster dialogue amid the escalating conflict in the region.

As of now, no official statement has been released by Pakistan’s foreign office regarding the airstrikes. Meanwhile, the situation in Tehran remains tense as the city endures continuous aerial attacks, underscoring the fragile security environment surrounding diplomatic missions and foreign nationals in the Iranian capital.
