Vinicius Jr Aims to Bring Real Madrid Form to Brazil at 2026 World Cup

Brazilian forward Vinicius Jr has voiced renewed confidence in his abilities as he prepares for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The 25-year-old is determined to carry the momentum from his club performances with Real Madrid into his role with the national team.

Speaking before Brazil’s friendly against France, Vinicius revealed that he feels mentally and physically stronger after overcoming a difficult period earlier in the 2025–26 season. “I feel more comfortable and happier now, and that positivity spreads to those around me,” he explained.

At the start of the season, the winger struggled through a 16-match goal drought and faced criticism from some fans at Santiago Bernabéu. However, he has since regained his form, tallying 17 goals and 13 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.

Despite his success at club level, including multiple league titles and UEFA Champions League victories, Vinicius has yet to consistently replicate that impact for Brazil. He has scored eight goals in 45 appearances for the five-time world champions.

With the 2026 World Cup approaching, the forward emphasized that excelling for his country remains his highest priority. “My biggest goal is to bring the same level of performance I have at Real Madrid to the Brazilian national team. Representing Brazil has always been my dream, and I want to fill our nation with pride and joy,” he stated.

Brazil aims to rebound after their quarter-final exit at the 2022 World Cup, where they were eliminated on penalties by Croatia. Vinicius, however, remains focused on his own preparation rather than external pressures. “I know my capabilities and how hard I’ve worked to be ready for the World Cup,” he affirmed.

As Brazil rebuilds for another title challenge, Vinicius Jr’s resurgence could be a key factor in their quest to reclaim global football supremacy.
