Karachi along with various parts of Sindh is set to receive rainfall until March 29 as the westerly weather system continues to influence the region. Following early morning showers, light rain or drizzles are anticipated in some areas of the city throughout the day.

The Meteorological Department forecasts scattered rainfall across numerous districts in Sindh, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. The current wet spell is expected to pause on March 27, but rainfall will resume on March 28 and 29.

Today, Karachi’s maximum temperature is predicted to reach 32 degrees Celsius with humidity levels around 79 percent. Winds are blowing at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour. Weather experts have urged residents to remain cautious due to the unstable weather conditions caused by the ongoing rainy system.

On Thursday morning, several parts of Karachi experienced rain triggered by the western disturbance. Dark clouds gathered over the city, followed by rainfall and strong winds in multiple localities including Metroville, SITE Area, Nazimabad, and nearby neighborhoods.

Additional areas receiving showers ranged from light to heavy rain, such as I.I. Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Shahrah-e-Faisal, the Old City Area, Tower, Clifton Sea View, Lyari, and adjoining localities. Scheme 33, Safoora Chowrangi, NIPA, Hassan Square, and other sectors of the city also recorded rainfall.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department noted that the western wind system has started affecting weather patterns nationwide. Rainfall has already been observed in Chaman and other parts of Balochistan, signaling the broader impact of this weather system across the country.
