Eid ul-Fitr 2026 Prayer Timings Announced for Major Pakistani Cities

As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, authorities across Pakistan have officially announced the Eid ul-Fitr 2026 prayer timings for mosques and Eidgahs in major urban centers. These detailed schedules aim to assist worshippers in planning their Eid day rituals while ensuring that congregations are managed smoothly and safely, especially in densely populated areas. The announcement covers a wide range of cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, among others.

In the federal capital Islamabad, mosques have arranged staggered prayer times to accommodate the large number of attendees and prevent overcrowding. For instance, Jamia Masjid Noor Madina in I-8/4 and Jamia Masjid Noor Mustafa in Jinnah Garden have scheduled their Eid prayers for 7:45 am, while Jamia Masjid Usman Ghani in G-14/4 and Markazi Jamia Masjid Anwar Madina in G-13/3 will hold prayers slightly earlier at 7:30 am. This approach reflects a coordinated effort by mosque administrations to facilitate a smooth flow of worshippers across different localities.

Similarly, in Rawalpindi, mosques have also set early morning prayer times to manage the crowds effectively. Jamia Masjid Al-Ameen in Morgah and Jamia Masjid Faizan-e-Mustafa in Dhoke Ghulam Ali will open their doors at 7:00 am, while other mosques such as Jamia Masjid Syeda Amina and Jamia Masjid Gulzar Madina in Shaheen Town will conduct prayers at 7:45 am. Notably, Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan President Allama Hisham Elahi Zahar is scheduled to lead the Eid prayer at UET Housing Society Tawheed Park at 6:00 am, marking one of the earliest congregations in the city.

Moving to Lahore, the city’s mosques have also announced their respective prayer timings, reflecting the diverse religious leadership present. Maulana Hafiz Fazl-ur-Rahim Ashrafi will lead the Eid prayer at Jamia Ashrafia on Ferozepur Road at 7:30 am, while the Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, will conduct prayers at the iconic Badshahi Masjid at 8:30 am. Other notable venues include Jamia Masjid Darbar Hazrat Mian Mir and Jamia Masjid Darbar Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh, where prayers will be held at 7:00 am and 7:30 am respectively, underscoring the spiritual significance of these historic sites during Eid.

In Karachi, one of Pakistan’s largest and most populous cities, the Eid prayer schedule is extensive, covering numerous mosques across different neighborhoods. For example, Khoja Jamat Mosque in Kharadar will hold prayers at 8:30 am, while Masjid Azakhana Abu Talib in Soldier Bazaar will start as early as 6:30 am. The city’s religious leaders, including Allama Shabbir Ahmad Usmani at Jamia Masjid Gulshan Rahmaniya Dawood Nagar and Mufti Bilal Ashraf at Jamia Masjid Bilal Jhang Road, will lead prayers at 7:00 am, reflecting the city’s vibrant religious diversity. Additionally, several Ahle Hadith mosques and Jafari fiqa congregations have also announced their timings, ensuring inclusivity for all sects.

Other cities such as Multan and Peshawar have also published their Eid prayer schedules, with mosques like Hazrat Bahauddin Zakaria Multani and Darbar Hazrat Shah Rukkan-e-Alam Multani planning prayers between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. In Peshawar, central mosques including Qasim Ali Khan Mosque and Liaquat Park Eidgah will hold prayers early in the morning, starting from 7:00 am onwards. These timings are designed to accommodate the local populations and maintain order during the festive prayers.

It is important to note that while these schedules provide a comprehensive guideline for Eid ul-Fitr prayers across Pakistan, slight variations may occur depending on local moon sightings, mosque announcements, and community preferences. Worshippers are encouraged to verify the exact timing with their nearest mosque or local religious authorities to ensure timely participation. This proactive dissemination of prayer timings highlights the efforts of religious and civic bodies to facilitate a peaceful and organized celebration of Eid across the country.
