In a remarkable display of courage, a young girl in Rawalpindi confronted an armed robber during a daring street robbery in the Mian Qutbuddin neighborhood, falling under the jurisdiction of Waris Khan Police Station. The incident unfolded as two sisters were returning home after a routine shopping trip, only to be targeted by a criminal wielding a firearm. This act of bravery has since captured the attention of local residents and law enforcement alike.
The two sisters had just finished their shopping when the assailant approached them with the intent to snatch their belongings. Despite the threat posed by the armed dacoit, the sisters did not surrender quietly. Instead, they resisted the robbery attempt, which escalated the situation dramatically. The robber, in a desperate bid to intimidate them, fired several shots. Fortunately, the bullets missed their marks and struck the ground, sparing the sisters from physical harm.
Among the sisters, Mahnoor Usman stood out for her exceptional bravery. She attempted to overpower the robber despite the imminent danger. During the scuffle, the attacker physically assaulted her but ultimately managed to escape with three mobile phones and a purse containing cash and bank cards. Mahnoor later recounted the harrowing experience to the police, explaining that the bag targeted by the robber held valuable items including three high-end mobile phones, cash, and bank cards. She emphasized that their resistance triggered the assailant to open fire before making off with the stolen goods.
