Ivana Lisette Ortiz has been officially charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing multiple shots outside the Los Angeles residence of international pop icon Rihanna. The incident reportedly took place while the singer and her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, were inside the property, raising serious concerns about their safety and that of others present.
The shooting occurred on March 8 in the upscale Beverly Hills area, a neighborhood known for its high-profile residents and heightened security measures. These additional accusations stem from the fact that the gunfire targeted not only Rihanna’s home but also a vehicle parked on the property and a nearby residence.
Investigators have detailed that the assault charges cover incidents involving individuals who were either inside or close to the property during the shooting, including members of Rihanna’s household staff. law enforcement officials, Ortiz allegedly drove up to the front of the property and discharged a semiautomatic rifle several times before fleeing the scene. Police later tracked down her white Tesla approximately eight miles away at the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping center, where she was apprehended without further incident.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman emphasized the gravity of the case, highlighting the broader issue of gun violence in residential neighborhoods. He stated, “Opening fire in any populated neighborhood is extremely dangerous and puts lives at risk.
