She revealed that for over five months, since October 16, neither family members nor legal representatives have been permitted to meet with Imran Khan. This prolonged isolation has left the family in a state of distress, as no clear reasons have been provided by the authorities for these stringent restrictions.
Elaborating on the situation, Aleema Khan emphasized the lack of transparency surrounding Imran Khan’s medical condition, particularly focusing on his deteriorating eye health. She expressed frustration that despite repeated concerns, the family remains uninformed about the specifics of his treatment or prognosis. Medical professionals have reportedly indicated that the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) does not possess the necessary facilities to adequately address his eye ailment, raising fears about the potential worsening of his condition.
Highlighting the urgency of the matter, Aleema Khan demanded that Imran Khan’s medical care be conducted in the presence of his close family members and his personal physician. She questioned the rationale behind the delay in providing proper treatment, warning that neglect could lead to irreversible damage, including the risk of losing sight in his second eye.
